On March 27, 2019, the eSecu FIDO2 Security Key self-developed by Excelsecu Data Technology Co., Ltd. (Excelsecu for short) has obtained the FIDO2 certification.
The FIDO Alliance is committed to the online authentication revolution and the establishment of a globally unified online authentication standard. Members of the alliance include Google, Facebook, GitHub, Dropbox, eBay, etc. FIDO2 is the overarching term for FIDO Alliance’s newest set of specifications. The FIDO2 specifications are the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Authentication (WebAuthn) specification and FIDO Alliance’s corresponding Client-to-Authenticator Protocol (CTAP). Compared to the normal U/P (username and password) methods, FIDO2 authentication is with better convenience and usability and provides better security.
As a member of the FIDO Alliance, Excelsecu keeps pace with the FIDO Alliance and has self-developed the eSecu FIDO2 Security Key to provide users with a safer and more friendly authentication solution.
